Over 1.000 older adults in the Netherlands answered a questionnaire launched by KBO-PCOB about unmet needs related to sexual health. The answers provide important insights to design the content for the sexual health promotion programme as well as for design.

There were also a number of respondents who provided detailed text replies to doubts that usually arise as well as about most pressing problems. These answers were analysed through qualitative analysis techniques.

• Often sexually active, but 25% experience disability, impairment or take medication that affects sexual activity

• Over 50% has looked up health information online, a part f it related to sexuality and intimacy, but the Internet is not perceived to be totally safe to receive sexual help
